Sunday School Happenings

First, a great big THANK YOU to all of you who helped out with our “Trick or Treat” for UNICEF campaign.  When all donations were counted, we raised a total of $203.94 for this most worthwhile cause!  Your efforts will help children in the US and around the world in need of food, clean water, education and medicine.  

As we move forward to the Advent season we eagerly await the birth of Jesus.  In Sunday School, we are learning about Advent and the Christmas story.  We are excitedly preparing for the Sunday School Worship Service on December 14.  Please invite family and friends to join us on this special worship service, as we share our faith and the meaning of Christmas with a drama entitled: “Christmas?  Bah Humbug!”

Also, this year, each Sunday School class will have an opportunity to light the Advent candles during the 10:30 AM morning worship.  Below are the assigned dates:

                   Nov 30        Pre K – K class

                   Dec 7           1 – 3 grade class

                   Dec 14         4 – 6 grade class

                   Dec 21         Youth class

On December 21, we will share a Christmas lesson in our classrooms then join as a group in Fellowship Hall for some goodies and fun.

For all children interested in singing during the Christmas Season, please see me or our music director, Juan Pineda.  We are planning a special half hour of music before the Christmas eve service and would love to have all interested children join us!

There will be no Sunday School on December 28, but please join us for a group event on January 4 as we celebrate Epiphany.

There is lots happening here in Sunday School during this holiday season.  Please join us during this holy season and catch the true Spirit of Christmas!
